Spectrolite and Handmade Gold Hexagon Chain Necklace

118.00

A stunning spectrolite briolette creates mystery and intrigue. The blue flash on this stone is fantastic.  The chain is made up of hand formed hexagon links, in graduated sizes.  This necklace is simply stunning.  Measures 17 1/2" -18 1/2" with lobster clasp and adjustable length chain closure. 14k gold fill.

About Spectrolite: The Finnish "Stone of Light" was given the name Spectrolite by Professor Aarne Laitakari, who through the name wanted to convey the colors of the Finnish Nature of various seasons. The intense colors range from blues and greens to yellows and oranges. It is only found in south-eastern Finland in a condense area and in tiny pockets scattered around Finland. Spectrolite was discovered by accident in 1940 during the Second World War. Spectrolite is a member of the feldspar labradorite stone family, but for its coloring it has very little to do with labradorite that is gray-blue. Spectrolite was entitled a gem name of its own because of the rainbow rich variety and depth of colors it displays.

About 14k gold fill: 14K gold filled wire is a professional jewelers grade wire.  Gold filled wire is not plated. It is a tube of solid 14K gold mechanically bonded to a brass or silver base. There is 100 times more gold in gold filled than in gold plate wire. This layer of gold must be a minimum of 1/20th of the total metal weight to be called gold filled. The color looks exactly like 14k gold.  It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewelry.

Your jewelry will arrive beautifully gift wrapped in a small box . If this is a gift being shipped directly to the recipient, please let me know. I will be glad to include a note from you.
