Raw Kyanite Pinned Bail Oxidized Silver Necklace

58.00

I love natural, raw stones.  This is a slice of natural kyanite, set in a pinned bail. So simple yet so unique. Oxidized silver satellite chain.  Necklace measures 17 1/2" - 18 1/2" with lobster clasp and adjustable length chain closure.  Sterling silver, which has been oxidized and hand polished for an antique finish.

About Kyanite: The name Kyanite derives from the Greek word kyanos, meaning blue. Kyanite has a deep silvery blue similar to blue sapphire at its best. Kyanite is an interesting gem that was discovered during the nineteenth century. Kyanite is found in mountainous regions in the United States (Montana and North Carolina), Switzerland, Brazil and Myanmar. It was once believed that a kyanite suspended from a human hair could follow the earth's magnetic force. Early travelers sometimes used it as a compass when exploring unknown territories.

Your jewelry will arrive beautifully gift wrapped in a small box. If this is a gift being shipped directly to the recipient, please let me know. I will be glad to include a note from you.
