Moss Aquamarine and Green Chrysocolla Knotted Oxidized Silver Necklace

90.00

I love finding the most unique stones!   I just brought back these amazing stones from the Tucson Gem Show.  The centerpiece is a stunning moss aquamarine.  It is clear, with little mossy inclusions. The little stones are tiny faceted green chrysocolla, knotted on silk.  This necklace is both stunning and totally casual.  My favorite!  Oxidized silver chain finishes the back half of the necklace.  Measures 17" - 18" with lobster clasp and adjustable length chain closure.  Sterling silver, which has been oxidized and hand polished for an antique finish.

About Moss Aquamarine: Moss Aquamarine is a brilliant blue tranquil crystalline gemstone from the cyan family of beryls. It is one of the most sought after beryls in the family of natural gemstones. Extracted from the mines of Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Myanmar. It carries the power of the ocean which connects the spirit of the person wearing the aquamarine beads with element of water. In the olden days, sailors carried Moss Aquamarine in their chest to ensure safe passage through wild waves.  It is also called the courage stone, and helps with the verbal expression of ideas and emotions.

About Chrysocolla: The name comes from the Greek chrysos, "gold", and kolla, "glue", in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold, and was first used by Theophrastus in 315 BCE. It's unique blue green color is unique in the mineral world, and sometimes gets confused for turquoise.  Chrysocolla is the gentlest of stones. Its main role is to soothe, calm and inspire. Its color alone is soothing with a deep blue-green which might remind you of a distant mountaintop or the stillness at the bottom of the sea.

Your jewelry will arrive beautifully gift wrapped in a small box. If this is a gift being shipped directly to the recipient, please let me know. I will be glad to include a note from you.
