Raw Kyanite Pinned Bail Oxidized Silver Earrings

I love natural, raw stones. These are slices of natural kyanite, set in unique pinned bails. So simple yet so unique. Measure 1 3/4". Handmade shepherd hook earwires. Sterling silver, which has been oxidized and hand polished for an antique finish.

Due to the nature of natural stones, your stones may vary slightly. They will be special and unique!

About Kyanite: The name Kyanite derives from the Greek word kyanos, meaning blue. Kyanite has a deep silvery blue similar to blue sapphire at its best. Kyanite is an interesting gem that was discovered during the nineteenth century. Kyanite is found in mountainous regions in the United States (Montana and North Carolina), Switzerland, Brazil and Myanmar. It was once believed that a kyanite suspended from a human hair could follow the earth's magnetic force. Early travelers sometimes used it as a compass when exploring unknown territories.

Your jewelry will arrive beautifully gift wrapped in a small box. If this is a gift being shipped directly to the recipient, please let me know. I will be glad to include a note from you.
