Earthy Stone Chandelier Earrings

68.00

Earth momma chandelier earrings. These are warm and summery. These unique stones are pietersite, peach moonstone and turquoise. All wrapped up in oxidized silver wire for an antique finish. Leverback earwires. Measure 1 7/8". Sterling silver.

About Pietersite: Pietersite is a variety of Quartz, composed naturally of Tiger's Eye, Hawk's Eye and Jasper, and is characterized by an incredible chatoyancy and brilliance of life within the stone. Its dominant gold hues are contrasted with deep blue-black, grey and brown, as well as occasional clear areas. Pietersite is a powerful protection stone, especially against the elements, such as calming nerves during storms.

About Peach Moonstone: Peach moonstone varies in intensity from peach to light orange in color. This gemstone has the moving iridescent sheen indicative of moonstone and is generally opaque to semi-transparent. Moonstone is a member of the Feldspar family of minerals. With it’s ethereal glow, it is sure to make you feel like a goddess.

About turquoise: The name turquoise means "Turkish stone" because the trade route that brought it to Europe came via Turkey. Turquoise is a non-translucent stone of which the most valuable specimens are robin's egg blue or deep-blue azure. It also comes in brown, yellow, and many shades of green. The veins are inclusions from nearby rock fragments or oxides that form during the creation of turquoise.

Turquoise, the gemstone worn by pharaohs and Aztec kings, is probably one of the oldest gemstones known. Native Americans and many of the Indian tribes in Mexico used turquoise for currency, and the stone is still associated with the religious rites of the Navajo. Because it remains fashionable, turquoise is quite highly prized, although it is fairly plentiful.

Your jewelry will arrive beautifully gift wrapped in a small box tied. If this is a gift being shipped directly to the recipient, please let me know. I will be glad to include a note from you.
